My name is David, I was born in Australia and moved to Bari with Valentina, my Italian wife in 2012 to start our backpackers hostel. At the beginning we shared our little “palazzina” home in the old town with guests. Since then, we have moved to our current location and can now boast to have hosted many happy travellers. I have 2 little girls Emily and Catherine who are 7 and 5 years of age respectively and who I absolutely adore. I love my job and I can see myself doing this forever 🙂
I think people love staying at Olive Tree because of the friendly staff and our beautiful garden terrace, which creates such a chilled atmosphere and allows people to meet very easily. There are many great restaurants and cafes nearby and the beach is only a short walk. Being so close to the train station is also very convenient for day trips.
