I had the immense pleasure of volunteering at the Olive Tree and work with David for 2 months. The place is super cozy, Bari is awesome and David is one of the best people I've met. He will make sure that you feel comfortable living and working there. I really couldn't recommend it more, hope to go back some day. Missing you David, lots of hugs to the family!

Thank you to David and the team for another great stay. This is such a friendly and welcoming home and it really lends itself to a chilled social atmosphere. Look forward to seeing you guys again when I return on my way back to Greece in the spring.

Perfect place to stay in Bari! The stuff is very very helpful and the hostel is a good place to meet other people and a good base close to the station and centre! Had a great time there...

Really nice place, the staff was very kind explaining us about the history of Bari, where we should eat for good price and great quality, also looking up for train schedules. It offers: clean bathrooms, kitchen, breakfast included, free lockers, also you are close to the central station and the main turistic points (~10min). Can't wait to come back �

A really nice and clean place, close to everything. The owner is really helpful and gives you cool and very detailed information on interesting places to visit.

The host run the hotel with full heart, don't hesitate to stay here when you visit Bari. The room is super big and clean, with everything you need including balcony, three bathrooms, kitchen, washmachine, EVERYTHING. The location is super close to the station. The host is very helpful and HANDSOME. meet people all over the world here and people love puglia! Best ever!

Olive tree is a really nice place, is always clean , is beautiful inside , the attention is perfect , the owner is a friendly person and the staff too ...i recommend this place 100% , this one is my 5 time here and i dont have anything to complain about... My experience have been perfect!

The hostel was clean, the check in was easy, the staff is friendly and welcoming (David is a wonderful human being), and the other guests were great as well. I will stay here again if I ever come back to Bari.

This hostel is clean and quiet. The staff is available and serious. The bathrooms are clean. This hostel is in che center of city near the station. Good!!!

Stayed at Olive Tree three nights in total and it was awesome! David and the other staff were really helpful and had good advices where to go and what to see in Bari!
The Hostel was very clean and the rooms where spacious, even the eight bed room!
There was a terrace to chill at the back of the house and several balkonies to the street in the front! Very nice to sit outside.
The wifi was fast and everything worked as it should!

While concurring with all the other 5*reviews, I must add that the day tours offered here are utterly wonderful. I have no idea how our guide Gianfranco managed to show us so much (including some really off-the-beaten-track places) in one day and I can't remember laughing so hard either.

Exceptional service and help from the reception. We had some troubles with our ferry and they really went out of their way to help us out. This was on top of good location, very clean facilities, delucious breakfast and good recommendations for the city. Superb.

I was in Bari in 2013 with my sisters and we booked for Olive Tree Hostel. It was the best decision: clean, friendly, best view, in the old town, cheap, awesome couple, who knows everything about what to visit, what to eat, what to enjoy. highly recommended!

Definitely one of my fave hostels! Stranded in Bari by Ryanair and couldn't have been happier. I could have stayed longer! Thanks for all the help David. And thanks to the local elderly man who bought me focaccia and pasta 🙂

Had a great stay at the Olive Tree. Really nice rooms , comfy bed . Great breakfast . The hostel is really clean . Really close to the train station and easy to find . Made to feel really welcome . Thankyou David , you made me feel really welcome . Your a really nice guy and thanks for letting me leave my luggage while I went to Greece . :-))

I had a fantastic time! Olive Tree Hostel is clean, comfortable & ideally situated in Bari. The staff are helpful & friendly plus encourage travellers by themselves to buddy-up to explore the city & surrounding areas. I highly recommend it.

I stayed here 10 days and this is the best hostel I've ever seen.Perfekt located, not far away from central station and old town of Bari. It's very clean in bathrooms, rooms and kitchen. The owners are very frendly. I really enjoyed to be here!

Olive Tree made our time in Bari easy and comfortable. The hosts helped us out with a route around the old town that stopped at all the best places for food, history and raw, Bari beauty along the way. The dorms gave you space to move as they're quite spaceous and the hostel is equipped with all the things we needed being backpackers - self catering, lockers, wifi etc. We had a really great time. Staff are ridiculously accomodating, rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are the best hostel-bathrooms I've ever had the pleasure to use.

Just stayed one night but it was great. Our hosts were really excellent. They helped us navigate Bari Vecchia and suggested places to eat. The atmosphere in Bari Vecchia is very unique and should not be missed. Staying at the Olive Tree really let us feel the true Bari Vecchia. We will be back.

Very nice and clean place, I enjoyed my stay for 4 days in January 2014 in the ancient Bari near to the castle and port.

The owners are very kind and welcoming. Awesome hostel. Feels like a home! Stayed there in summer. And wish I stayed longer than 1 night to catch a ferry. Will be back!

It's like coming home to good friends. David an Valentina are the most friendly host you can meet. The place is nice, clean and have a very good atmosphere. PS hope your having great time while you're friend are visiting David 🙂

Hospitality is superb!
Rooms and bathroom very clean.
Well served breakfast with fresh fruit. The kitchen is also available to cook your own meal/dinner.
Located in the heart of the old town and within a 5 minute walk to the port. With a little orientation feeling it is not that hard to find.
